During July 30 to 31 2013, 3 experts from Det Norske Veritas approved that D36 downwards ship plate (thickness＜40mm) has passed MPQA inspection and Chongqing Steel's ship plate should be exempted from inspection.

Chongqing Steel is the first company of China to be exempted from inspection approved by DNV.
